Ir/ser: fui, foi. Fazer: fiz. Dizer: disse. Ter: tive. Estar: estive. Ver: vi. Dar: dei. Vir: vim. Trazer: trouxe. Pôr: pus.

Rule and examples

Ir, ser, fazer, dizer, ter, estar

Ir and ser share the same perfeito: fui · foi · fomos · foram (fui à padaria; fui feliz). Fazer: fiz · fez · fizemos · fizeram. Dizer: disse · disse · dissemos · disseram. Ter: tive · teve · tivemos · tiveram. Estar: estive · esteve · estivemos · estiveram. In Spanish it is “hice, dije, tuve”: do not copy.

Example Eu fui. · Ela fez. · Eles disseram. · Nós tivemos.

Ver, dar, poder, querer

Ver: vi · viu · vimos · viram. Dar: dei · deu · demos · deram. Poder: pude · pôde · pudemos · puderam (pôde, with an accent, is past; pode, with no accent, is present). Querer: quis · quis · quisemos · quiseram.

Example Eu vi. · Ela deu. · Ela pôde. · Eu quis.

Vir, trazer, pôr, saber, sair, cair

Vir: vim · veio · viemos · vieram. Trazer: trouxe · trouxe · trouxemos · trouxeram. Pôr: pus · pôs · pusemos · puseram. Saber: soube · soube · soubemos · souberam. Sair: saí · saiu · saímos · saíram. Cair: caí · caiu · caímos · caíram (with an accent on the í).

Example Eu vim. · Ela trouxe. · Eu pus. · Eu saí.
